Uxbridge Carpetcleaning Service Terms and Conditions

Professional carpet cleaning equipment ready for a service appointmentThese Terms and Conditions govern the provision of professional Uxbridge carpet cleaning services and related cleaning treatments offered to domestic and commercial customers. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms, which are intended to set clear expectations about the booking process, payment, cancellations, liability, waste handling, and the legal framework applying to the service. These terms should be read carefully before confirming any appointment for carpet cleaning in Uxbridge or any adjoining service that forms part of the same order.

For the purposes of these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the service provider delivering the cleaning work, while “you” and “your” refer to the customer, client, property owner, tenant, or authorised representative who places the order. Where a booking is made on behalf of another person, the person making the booking confirms that they have authority to do so and that all instructions given are accurate. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and a written agreement expressly signed by both parties, the written agreement will take priority to the extent of the inconsistency.

Cleaner preparing upholstery and carpet treatment productsWe reserve the right to amend these terms from time to time. Any updated version will apply to future bookings and may also apply to existing bookings where changes are required by law or where they do not materially reduce your rights. By proceeding with a quote, confirmation, or appointment, you acknowledge that cleaning services are provided subject to the version of the terms in force at the time the order is accepted.

1. Booking Process

All bookings for Uxbridge carpetcleaning services are subject to acceptance by us. A booking may be initiated through a quotation request, message, phone enquiry, or other approved method. Any quote issued by us is based on the information supplied by you, including room sizes, carpet type, stain condition, access details, parking arrangements, and any special requirements. If the information supplied is incomplete or inaccurate, we may revise the quote, adjust the schedule, or decline the booking.

Once a quote is accepted, the booking is not confirmed until we issue confirmation and, where requested, receive any deposit or pre-authorisation. Confirmation may include the estimated arrival window, scope of work, price basis, and any site conditions that must be met. Vacuum extraction equipment used for carpet cleaningYou must ensure that the property is ready for cleaning at the agreed time, including clearing small items where required, securing pets, and providing safe access to the areas to be cleaned. If access is delayed or refused, additional waiting time may be charged or the visit may be treated as a cancellation.

We may refuse or reschedule a booking where the property presents an unacceptable health and safety risk, where equipment cannot be used safely, or where the requested work falls outside our service capability. Any estimate of cleaning time is provided in good faith but is not a guarantee. Heavy staining, fibre damage, previous poor treatment, or hidden contamination may affect the outcome and may require a revised approach. For avoidance of doubt, carpet cleaning services are delivered on a best-efforts basis and are not a guarantee of the total removal of all marks, odours, or wear.

2. Pricing and Payments

Prices are normally quoted before the appointment and may be based on room count, carpet area, level of soiling, treatment type, and any add-on services such as stain treatment or odour neutralisation. All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless agreed otherwise. Unless expressly noted, quoted prices are exclusive of unusual access costs, parking charges, congestion-related expenses, or additional work requested on site after the original quote.

Payment is due in accordance with the invoice or booking confirmation. We may require a deposit, full advance payment, or payment on completion depending on the nature of the job. Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, card payment, or other approved means. If payment is to be made after completion, it must be made immediately unless a credit arrangement has been agreed in writing. Late payment may result in debt recovery action, recovery costs, and interest where permitted by law.

If, during the visit, you request services beyond those originally booked, we may provide an updated price before continuing. Where additional time or materials are required due to conditions not reasonably visible before work begins, we may charge a fair supplement. If you refuse the revised price, we may stop work and charge for work already completed, travel, or materials used.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. We ask that cancellations be made as early as possible so that time slots can be reassigned. Unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation, cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee to cover lost time and operational costs. Where a deposit has been paid, it may be retained in full or in part to reflect expenses reasonably incurred.

If you are not present at the agreed time and have not arranged access, or if the job cannot proceed because the property is unprepared, this may be treated as a late cancellation or failed appointment. We may also reschedule where weather, vehicle breakdown, staff illness, equipment failure, or other events outside our reasonable control prevent us from attending on time. In such cases, we will use reasonable efforts to arrange a new appointment, and any deposit already paid will normally be transferred to the rescheduled date unless you request a refund and no work has been performed.

4. Liability and Service Limitations

We will carry out all cleaning work with reasonable care and skill, using appropriate methods and products suitable for the task as assessed on site. However, carpets, rugs, upholstery, and associated materials vary widely in construction, age, colourfastness, and prior treatment. Some materials may react unpredictably to moisture, cleaning agents, heat, or agitation. It is your responsibility to inform us of any known defects, prior repairs, underlay damage, colour instability, delicate fibres, or manufacturer restrictions before work begins.

We shall not be liable for pre-existing damage, hidden contamination, normal wear and tear, shrinkage caused by manufacturing defects, or deterioration due to age and condition of the material. Where cleaning reveals pre-existing faults, these are not caused by our service. While we take care to minimise risk, certain stains may be permanent or may reappear due to wicking, dye migration, or contamination from underlying layers. We do not guarantee the removal of every stain or odour, nor do we guarantee a particular appearance after treatment. Any statements regarding expected results are opinions based on experience and are not absolute promises.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited under English law. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any booking, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount paid or payable for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of enjoyment.

5. Customer Responsibilities

You must ensure the work area is safe and reasonably accessible. This includes moving light personal items where appropriate, disclosing risks such as fragile flooring or unsecured wiring, and ensuring children and pets remain away from the working area. If we are required to move heavy furniture, appliances, or items not normally included in a standard cleaning appointment, this may be refused or charged separately. You should remove valuables, cash, jewellery, and fragile objects before our arrival. We are not responsible for items left in the cleaning area unless damage is caused by our proven negligence.

Where parking, lift access, or permits are required, you must inform us in advance and arrange anything necessary unless otherwise agreed. Delays caused by failure to provide access may be chargeable. You must also disclose any known hazards, including asbestos risk, pest infestation, unsafe electrical fittings, flooding, or other conditions that may make the work unsuitable. If we believe the environment is unsafe, we may suspend or terminate the appointment without liability for any resulting delay.

6. Waste, Disposal, and Environmental Regulations

All waste produced during carpet cleaning operations, including wastewater, used cloths, disposable materials, and contaminated residues, will be handled in accordance with applicable UK waste management requirements and environmental obligations. We will take reasonable steps to prevent pollution, avoid unlawful discharge, and dispose of waste using appropriate methods. You agree that wastewater, soil extraction, and minor residues may be collected, retained, or disposed of by us as part of the service.

We will not knowingly dispose of waste in a manner that breaches environmental law. If the job generates unusual waste, including contamination from biohazards, chemicals, or other regulated substances, we may refuse the work or require separate arrangements. You warrant that any waste or contamination you ask us to handle has been disclosed in advance and is not hazardous unless expressly stated and agreed. If specialist disposal, licensing, or equipment is required, additional charges may apply and the service may be subject to separate conditions.

It is your responsibility to ensure that any items presented for cleaning are lawfully in your possession and that no prohibited material is introduced into the working area. We reserve the right to stop work if we encounter waste or contamination that may breach legal, environmental, or safety obligations. In such circumstances, any part-completed service may be chargeable to the extent reasonably performed.

7. Complaints and Remedies

If you believe the service has not been delivered in accordance with these terms, you should notify us promptly and provide reasonable details of the issue. We may request photographs, a further inspection, or an opportunity to return to the property to assess the concern. Where a complaint is valid and the issue is directly attributable to our workmanship, our preferred remedy may be a repeat treatment, re-inspection, or proportionate refund, depending on the circumstances.

Any complaint must relate to the specific area cleaned and must be raised within a reasonable time after the appointment. We are not responsible for issues caused by use of the carpet after treatment, failure to allow proper drying time, interference by third parties, or the application of products not supplied or approved by us. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties should attempt to settle the matter through good-faith negotiation before taking further action.

8. Force Majeure

We shall not be in breach of these terms, nor liable for any delay or failure to perform, where the delay or failure results from events outside our reasonable control. Such events may include severe weather, fire, flood, accident, strike action, public disruption, supply shortages, legal restrictions, or technical failure. Where a force majeure event occurs, we will use reasonable efforts to resume services as soon as practicable, but we are not responsible for losses arising solely from that event.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising from or connected with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived by agreement. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer where applicable.

Cleaning technician completing a carpet care serviceIf any part of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that part shall be deemed severed and the remainder shall continue in full force and effect. No failure or delay by us in exercising any right under these terms shall operate as a waiver of that right. These terms, together with the booking confirmation and any written variations agreed by both parties, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the service.

Finished carpet cleaning setup with professional toolsBy confirming a booking for carpet cleaning Uxbridge, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. You also confirm that you have authority to permit the work to take place at the property and that you will provide accurate information relevant to the service. These terms are designed to protect both parties by setting clear expectations before any cleaning begins, helping ensure that the service is carried out efficiently, safely, and lawfully.

In the event of any inconsistency between verbal discussion and written confirmation, the written booking details and these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Where services are provided to business customers, any additional statutory or contractual rights may apply, but unless expressly agreed otherwise, these terms remain the governing framework for the arrangement. Thank you for choosing a professional Uxbridge carpetcleaning service.
